The Evergreen Tandem Club is pleased to announce that the 2017 Northwest Tandem Rally will be hosted at the University of Washington in Seattle next summer, June 30-July 4! Our website is UP and registration is OPEN! You can sign up now to take advantage of the Early Bird rate of just $95 per rider! Don’t wait, as rates will increase after July 15!
We have a fun-filled weekend plan that will begin on Friday evening, June 30th, with a bus trip out to the Velodrome at Marymoor Park in Redmond to watch the cycle racing. Saturday, July 1st, will begin with an unsupported ride on Bainbridge Island and the Kitsap Peninsula. That evening, we will have a kick-off barbeque on the lawn outside the Husky Union Building (aka “the HUB”) on the University of Washington campus where we will be hosting the rally for the weekend. The HUB was completely renovated a few years ago and is now a beautiful space for events and gatherings. The vendor fair will be housed in the Lyceum on both Saturday and Sunday. Sunday morning, July 2nd, will be the first day of supported rides with a police escort leading us off campus to begin what we believe you will all find to be the most incredible circumnavigation of Seattle you have ever experienced, taking advantage of the many wonderful bike trails and lanes Seattle has to offer. That afternoon, there will be a beer garden, also on the lawn outside the HUB, and then the banquet will be held that evening, in the North Ballroom of the HUB. This is a great space with an awesome balcony where attendees can enjoy the summer evening in between dancing to the live music that is planned. Monday, July 3rd, our rides will begin and end at Wilmot Park in Woodinville, where we will also have ice cream and root beer to celebrate a great weekend of riding together!
You can sign up directly by following this link to the Signmeup site where you can register securely.
